Why hidden infrastructure is the point

Blocking behind a wall costs a few hundred dollars during a renovation and several thousand afterward. Recording exactly where it is — height, span, photograph before tile — is what turns a possible future change into a two-hour job. The next owner inherits that knowledge; they do not inherit the household file.
